SABC SPORT SET TO DELIVER ANOTHER EXHILARATING SPORTS WEEKEND
Johannesburg - Friday, 22 January 2021 - The South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC), through its sports channel, SABC Sport, is bringing SABC audiences yet another exhilarating, action-packed and unmissable sporting extravaganza this weekend.
SABC Sports presents the return of "The Unmissable 8" top-class live sporting action.
The sporting extravaganza kicks off on Saturday afternoon at 14h00, with DSTV Premiership top of the table clash, when number 1, Mamelodi Sundowns FC meets the number 2, Swallows FC, in the race to the championship, live on SABC 1. This will be followed by a digital viewing experience when the much anticipated Emirates FA Cup home debut of the Lion of Judah, Percy Tau, when Brighton Hove & Albion FC hosts Blackpool FC at the Amex Stadium. Viewers can explore the future of TV viewing by and catching this action live on the SABC Sport DTT channel, the Telkom ONE platform, with discounted data rates, and livestreamed on the SABC Sport online portal.

The action continues with a doubleheader on SABC 3, beginning with 4th round FA Cup clash as Southampton FC takes on Arsenal FC starting at 13h30, then followed by the very best of German football in the Bundesliga as Augsburg vs FC Union Berlin at 16h00. Both matches will be broadcast live on the SABC Sport online portal. Then in the Rugby Top 14, the match of the week sees 3rd placed Racing 92 lock horns with Bordeaux Begles at the Paris La Defense Arena, Saturday afternoon live on SABC 2 at 16h00.
Let’s not forget our live radio commentary on Radio 2000, of the Momentum Protea’s vs Pakistan ODI in a great clash between two of the top Women’s teams in world cricket.
Sunday brings more premium football as Arsenal FC meets up with West Ham United FC in a FA Women's League game starting at 13h30 exclusively live on SABC 3 or the SABC Sport Online portal, while the Men's FA Cup continues on SABC 1 at 14h00 when Chelsea FC takes on Luton Town FC and later in the evening on SABC 3 Manchester United vs Liverpool at 18h00.
