A Fly-away unit is a portable OB unit that is packed in suitcases and set-up very quickly on site. To counter the ever shrinking production budgets and cost of freighting equipment TV OB has put together up to an 8-camera fly away unit capable of being carried on a commercial aircraft by the crew without having to worry about exorbitant excess baggage costs. Using the latest technologies and smart weight saving techniques this flyaway has all the facilities to make a successful OB.

General Description
The equipment is installed into flight boxes for transport by road or air. The boxes are interconnected to form a full production facility. It comprises of a Production, Sound and Vision/VTR area. The video standard is PAL 4:3/16:9 SDI. ITU-601.
