Her Majesty Queen Noloyiso Sandile, who was wife to the late AmaRharhabe King Maxhoba Sandile, succumbed to Covid-19 on Wednesday, the 08 July 2020. The 56-year-old Queen was the sister of the AmaZulu monarch King Goodwill Zwelithini. She was crowned acting queen after her husband passed on in 2011, and was meant to hold this position until her son, Jonguxolo Sandile, came of age. The Royal House of AmaRharhabe is said to be in shock from this, yet again, untimely passing of their own. It is the South African President Cyril Ramaphosa who announced that Queen Noloyiso would receive a Special Official Funeral Category 1 as a final farewell. A symbol of honour, respect and mourning is reflected by the South African flag flying at half-mast this weekend.
