The SABC is proud to broadcast live the 10th Thabo Mbeki Africa Day Lecture, Africa Day Concert and The Presidential Inauguration.
Our Radio Stations, Radio 2000, Channel Africa and Metro FM have partnered in celebration of Africa Day to give expression to what it truly means to be African in 2019. Arts and culture have always held the centre of the African continent and this creativity will be lived through an 8 country exhibition and an entertainment by artists from the Continent. Representatives from the African High Commissions include representatives from Botswana, Gabon, Morocco, Tunisia and special guest country Korea will be in attendance. Celebrations to take place at the SABC in Auckland Park.
This year’s celebration seeks to promote the social cohesion project and foster peaceful co-existence amongst fellow Africans in South Africa.
