Spokesperson for private emergency services organisation, ALS Paramedics, Garrith Jamieson says a wide scale search was launched after the runner was reported missing following this weekend’s marathon in South Africa.

The missing woman has been located near Point road in the Durban central area. A K11 helicopter has been activated to transport the critically injured runner to the nearby hospital for medical care. Point road has been closed off by police and Metro police,” Jamieson said.
