The golden boy of Botswana's athletics has been training in the country for a few weeks, as he typically begins his season with a camp in the North West province before heading abroad for the European circuit.
He finished behind compatriot Bayapo Ndori (44.59), while South Africa's Zakithi Nene also clocked 45.42 seconds to take third place.
Tebogo is using this event as part of his preparations for the World Senior Championships in Tokyo, Japan, later this year.
The 22-year old is set to compete at a meet in Australia at the end of the month before heading to Europe.
He is pleased with his preparation for the World Championships, where he plans to race in both the 100m and 200m events.
