Zimbabwe's Sibanda to take on Garde during IBF World Youth Bantamweight title

Date: Jul 3, 2025

Zimbabwe's electrifying minimum-weight boxer, Beaven Sibanda, returns to the ring with gold in sight, taking on the tough and tested Richard Garde of the Philippines for the IBF World Youth Bantamweight title.

Sibanda has a record of nine fights, with eight wins and one defeat. The fight will form part of the tournament titled "Titans of Africa" at Emperors Palace in Kempton Park on Saturday evening. A win against Garde could be the launch pad to a world title for the Zimbabwean, but he knows it won't be an easy fight,” I know that he is a strong opponent and that's what we need the guys that come to fight so that I can also show that I can fight and I can display the sport of boxing so for me it's nothing other than an obstacle in my way that I need to get over with"

Donjuan van Heerden will be aiming to claim the ABU Middleweight title, when he takes on Dean Promnick.

The South African has a record of twelve fights, nine wins, six by knockout and three losses....

“I have seen two of his fights, I knocked the guy in 60 seconds he went two or three rounds with so there is not really anything on social media or internet about him but I have what it takes but i am too experienced and I have seen how he is training and how he fights he is not compared to me"
