The Springboks takes on Italy in the second test match at Nelson Mandela Stadium in Gqeberha in the Eastern Cape on Saturday. Coach Rassie Erasmus, has made eight changes to the team that face d Italy in Pretoria last weekend, with three debutants.
Starting flank for Saturday's game, Marco van Staden, says Italy had the upperhand at the breakdown last week, but is confident the Azzuri won't get under their skin again...
“They had a big focus on the breakdown and disrupting our play and slowing our ball down so we cant get rhythm so that was a big tactical win for them. Just try to disrupt where they can but yeah they played very well. i think our focus will be on what we can control to try and get us a good clean ball.
Hendriks says the must be positive steps taken to rectify the wrongs of the past,” You must remember I've been through many sports where we've chosen CEO's but they failed.
If one looks at basketball, if one looks at the host of other federations where the CEO's came and went.
Cricket South Africa is an example and I'm not using that to berate those federations, I'm simply using it as an example that sometimes we do make mistakes, sometimes it's up to the individual but you've got to take a step back and try and correct it.
Even SASCOC for example, where we had to fire the previous CEO but if we don't take positive and constructive steps to correct something then I have a problem with that."
