Acting Provincial Premier, Mlungisi Mvoko says the test match is a proud moment for the province. Mvoko says the Springboks are a unifying force and a symbol of national pride. 

This high-profile match follows the successful hosting of the 2025 Under-20 Rugby Championship in May. The Premier's Spokesperson, Khuselwa Rantjie says the match will provide a much-needed economic injection to the province.

“"The event will play role in terms of local economy, benefits for the province including stimulating local tourism, the provincial government calls on residents and rugby supporters to fill the stadium and rally behind the national team,” Rantjie said.
