Springboks squad unchanged for Saturday’s match against Ireland

Date: Jul 9, 2024

Springbok coach, Rassie Erasmus, expects Ireland to pull out all the stops to end their rugby season on a high note with a victory over the Springboks in Durban this coming Saturday.

Erasmus says the Boks’ first victory over the Irish in 8 years last weekend was by no means a walk in the park.

Ireland is ranked number 2 in the world, only after South Africa.

Erasmus has announced an unchanged Bok squad for this weekend, saying they are lucky not to have had any injuries in the first test. “We hoped everybody would be injury-free.

“Obviously, there’s always a few niggles and bumps and bruises in a game like that. We hoped really that we can play the same team two games in a row. Just by answering that, maybe with other one or 2 questions that might be asked.

“Next week guys like Lukanya Am, Canan Moodie, those kinds of guys, hopefully against Portugal some of those guys can get game time. But we are trying to get some momentum and luckily the team is injury-free.”
