This collaboration aims to identify and develop the next generation of talent for the Olympic Games and World Championships.
The CAA President kalkaba Malboum explains the partnership “First of all I am happy to have signed this agreement with an African structure company. We need to put our effort together to support the strength of our continent to support the Youth of Africa to finally build the opportunity to the athletes of Africa to perform at world level. So I am confident that the world wide scholarship will bring what we didnt have before to combine training and education.”
The Cameroonian born Principal of continental Athletics was part of his native country's 4X100 metres relay team from 1970-1974. Kalkaba speaks on the state of Athletics in Africa, “ Athletics in Africa is strong the first thing that I can consider is that we are able to organise our major events in time every years we have our major events, like this year we will have our under 20 and under 18 African championship in Nigeria.
Next year we will have the senior in Ghana and 2027 we will go back to Algeria to organise the under 18 and under 20 and then 2028 we will have the senior championships in Gaborone in Botswana but with this programme we can increase our performance.”
