The championship is set to take place in Abeokuta, Ogun State, from July 16 to 20, 2025. The 15-member committee comprises a diverse group of experienced professionals in sports administration and related fields.
According to the statement, the Director General of the National Sports Commission, Bukola Olopade, will chair the LOC, while Wasiu Isiaka will serve as the Vice Chairman.
The African U18/U20 Athletics Championship is expected to draw over 500 athletes from 53 African countries. With Abeokuta's upgraded sports infrastructure, Nigeria aims to host a memorable edition of the competition, showcasing the best of African youth athletics.
