Against all odds and after a rocky start, the Queens showed the heart of true champions.

 Following a tough 3-0 loss to The Gambia in their opener, the team came back roaring defeating Guinea in a thrilling 3-1 showdown, and then holding tournament giants Senegal to a gritty 1 all draw.

With four hard-earned points, Sierra Leone clinched second place in Group B and stormed into the semifinals for the very first time.
