The Tri-Nations Series serves as part of South Africa's preparations for the upcoming Women's Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON), set to take place from the 5th to the 26th of July. Banyana Banyana have made a strong start to their campaign, with Desiree Ellis' side edging Botswana in a five-goal thriller at the same venue last Wednesday.

This year’s WAFCON tournament in Morocco was originally scheduled for 2024 but was postponed to 2025 to avoid clashing with the Olympic Games in Paris.

Banyana Banyana have been drawn in Group C, where they will face Ghana, Mali, and Tanzania in what promises to be a highly competitive group stage.
