CAF expected to announce the hosts of 2025 WAFCON next week

South African Football Association (SAFA) President Danny Jordaan has confirmed to SABC Sport that the Confederation of African Football (CAF) are expected to announce the hosts of the 2025 Women's Africa Cup of Nations on September 16.

SAFA have submitted a bid to host the upcoming WAFCON at which Banyana Banyana will be looking to defend their crown from 2022.

Jordaan says the association has the backing of Minister of Sports, Arts, and Culture Gayton McKenzie, who was in attendance when Bafana Bafana drew their opening 2025 AFCON qualifier against Uganda at Orlando Stadium on Friday.
