Springboks ready to welcome All Blacks

Date: Aug 22, 2024

The Springboks are ready to welcome arch-rivals and fellow southern hemisphere giants, the All Blacks, to South African shores for the next two rounds of the Rugby Championship.

Head coach, Rassie Erasmus beefed up his squad by adding four more players, and they will assemble in Johannesburg this Thursday.

Three world cup winners will also be back in action after they were sidelined due to injuries. Scrumhalf Faf de Klerk who is injured and will probably not feature again this winter, believes that the Springboks are in the healthiest position they've ever been with an unmatched mix of experience and youth.

And the victory against Australia in Perth on Saturday was a testament to the hard work and dedication of all involved,” I know I have never beat Australia away from home, I know it's always a challenge, obviously they are also going through the same transition but to do what they did is something really spectacular and I think it's a testament to hard work  that everyone's been putting in from the coaching staff through to every player.
