The 21-year-old former United States (US) Open champion, fought back from a set down to beat compatriot and seventh seed, Madison Keys, 6-7, 6-4, 6-1 in their quarter-final match.
Gauff, who reached the final at Roland Garros in 2022, will play the winner of Wednesday's other match between sixth seed, Mirra Andreeva of Russia, and French wildcard, Lois Boisson, for a place in the final. The women's singles semi-finals take place on Thursday.
