CAF hosted a successful Television (TV) Directors Programme in Johannesburg, South Africa's Gauteng province, to uplift the quality of TV production and broadcast standards in African football. 

The workshop commenced on 25 February and concluded on 1 March 2025. Speaking exclusively to Channel Africa Sport, CAF Head of TV and Communications Director Luxolo September says African football is blessed to have a leader like Dr. Patrice Motsepe, who shared a vision of the beautiful game on the continent being globally competitive.

"He has given us this vision that African football must be globally competitive and the best in the world, and we must personalise that. Sadly for me, it means African football cannot be seen if the TV product is terrible. If no one watches the TC product and if every time we have a tournament we have to hire people outside Africa to tell African stories, how can we talk about success stories if the front desk doesn't look good?
