The limit of 23 000 entries was reached on Saturday afternoon, nine days before the official cut-off date.

Athletes who were unable to secure an entry are encouraged to stay connected through the official Comrades Marathon channels for details of the Comrades Substitution Process which will run over March and April next year.

The race, a down run, is scheduled to take place on Sunday June 8.
