Three National Executive Committee (NEC) members had planned to table a motion at a SAFA NEC meeting in Johannesburg for Jordaan to step aside and an interim President be appointed in his place.
However, it was business as usual at the meeting in Kempton Park, chaired by Jordaan. According to a statement released by the association, discussions were robust and engaging, and all outstanding matters were dealt with.
Among the issues discussed were progress made in schools’ football and the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations draw to be conducted on Monday.
The two-day meeting was a continuation of an adjourned Ordinary NEC Meeting that took place in Gqeberha province in October last year and the first since Jordaan’s arrest and court appearances.
