On Friday, however, the club bussed in a large number of supporters to watch the match.
Speaking after the 3-2 victory over Orlando Pirates, Elgabas admitted that the lack of crowds had been a major challenge.
"Yes, it's big, my friend, very hard. If you play at this level of football with no fans, it’s very difficult," said Elgabas.
"All the big teams in Africa who play in these competitions have a lot of fans and support. The good thing about this team is that we are strong mentally. We are a strong group, and we motivate each other.
We have set some standards in the dressing room, and everyone can see we are developing and could be one of the big teams in Africa."
