Following a slow start to proceedings in Casablanca, it was Nigeria who settled on the ball first as Botswana often found themselves sitting back in their own half. Neither side created any notable scoring chances during the first 15 minutes of the match, however, the Super Falcons found their rhythm in the middle of the park through the likes of Halimatu Ayinde and Rasheedat Ajibade.
The Super Falcons will take on Algeria in their last match of group B on Sunday evening, at the same Larbi Zaouli Stadium.
