Chivhayo’s sponsorship to Bosso comes just months after he settled the club’s $26 500 debt to former coach Baltermir Britto, effectively lifting a FIFA ban that had been imposed on the club.
The flamboyant businessman added that the donation is part of a broader $1 million sponsorship package, which he plans to disburse over the next year. He said the funding will help the club secure new talent and cover player sign-on fees to build a more competitive squad for the 2025 Premier Soccer League season.
Bosso had a poor 2025 pre-season due to financial constraints and were unable to make meaningful signings, losing several key players to better-paying clubs.
