The disqualified candidates have informed FIFA and CAF that currently, there is no legal provision that was cited to support the illegal decision that the committee took.

The eight further challenged the Electoral committee why it ignored Article 8.3 of the Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) Electoral code 2020 edition which says that "within two days of the deadline for submission of the candidatures, the Electoral Committee shall inform in writing those candidates who have failed to provide all the relevant documents in support of their candidatures and grant them three days to complete their applications".

"If the relevant candidates fail to complete their application within the prescribed deadline their candidatures shall be declared invalid".

The candidates say they find the actions of the Football Association of Zambia-FAZ Elections Committee irrational.

Among disqualified candidates who have written to FIFA, include, Mumbo Lombe, Machacha Shepande, Emmanuel Munaile, Adrian Kashala and Mr Keith Mweemba.
