The PSL champions drew 1 all  against AS FAR Rabat on Sunday to finish second in their group.  The late equaliser set up a tense finish, with Sundowns knowing Raja Casablanca could still pip them to qualification. However, they held firm to secure the point needed to finish second in the group with nine points, behind FAR.

Cardoso says mixed emotions are part of the game, “ Obviously that emotions is natural to come us on myself but we should not confuse that emotions with the sensation that we did the job that’s completely the opposite so that you are not happy that you suffered the goal makes you feel like you suffered the  defeat but its not a defeat.

It’s a result that you are looking they are two results on the table. I remember yesterday you asked me a question what about you lose the game what will happen we did not lose the game we got the result everybody asked us to make a result that will take us to the next stage now we understand the team are equal on the next round very equal.”
