On Friday evening, the Sharks must beat the Ospreys in Durban to secure a home quarter-final. On Saturday, the Bulls play Cardiff in Pretoria, Gauteng province while the Stormers host the Dragons. On Sunday, the Lions must defeat the Scarlets to stay alive in the tournament.
The Bulls recorded three wins out of four matches played on their tour of Europe. They then enjoyed a week’s break to regroup and recuperate ahead of a final push for the best possible finish in the URC play-offs. Two Welsh teams await them in the final two rounds.
Bulls loose forward Marco van Staden says the break, after two hard-fought victories, came at the right time:
"We had a very good tour, a very hard tour , two big games, Munster and Glasgow, two weeks in a row. So, I think the break was actually very good for us, just resting the bodies a bit, because another big game is coming up against Cardiff, and then the play-offs start soon. So, I think the break suited us well."
