The African National Congress (ANC) Chief Whip, Mdumiseni Ntuli who was sworn in yesterday says, as the delegation from SA, they will work together to ensure unity, as the representatives of the country.

“What is very, very important is that this parliament must have capacity to influence in a very united way the agenda of the African continent within the African Union(AU), but equally within our own individual countries. To ensure that, that which we discuss at the Pan African Parliament and the AU find expression in our own domestic policies settings, parliament and government,” says Ntuli.

Another new member on the continental legislature and Economic Freedom Front (EFF) representative, Vuyani Pambo says the PAP must take its work serious.

“We are here to kick the tables. We are here to make sure we shake-up the agenda here.”

The MK party member Duduzile Zuma-Sambudla says they will continue with the progress made by previous South African representatives.

“There is no GNU here and I think as individual parties we have that in mind. We saw the unity that had in the previous administration with Malema from EFF and comrade Pemmy Majodina from ANC, so we are hoping to continue that unity.
