International IDEA is an intergovernmental organisation focused on supporting and advancing democracy worldwide.

It's hosted by International IDEA in partnership with the Open Society Foundations, the African Union, Switzerland's Federal Department of Foreign Affairs, the European Union, and SA's DIRCO. 

It comes at a critical moment for democracy globally, amidst shifting geopolitics, democratic backsliding, and growing calls for inclusive governance. 

The event marks IDEA's 30th anniversary and brings together over 200 leaders from governments, civil society, and academia.
