SANDF Chief, General Rudzani Maphwanya says the US military has sent a request, demanding that their military aircraft not be searched when they land in the country for the exhibition.
Addressing the media at the Waterkloof Airforce base in Pretoria, Maphwanya said all countries willing to take part must comply with SA's laws,” The US submitted requests for the DOD to provide them with certain guarantees that their aircrafts participating in the AAD will not be searched and boarded. We do have the forces status agreement between SA and the US that provide certain conditions.
So this processes are not only applicable to the USA, they applicable to each and every country that will be attending and displaying in the AAD.
