Kasukuwere was a Minister under the late Robert Mugabe's regime.

Political analysts had predicted that the entrance by Kasukuwere could result in division of the ruling party vote.

Kasukuwere told ChannelAfrica that he would be challenging the Court’s decision.

“The fight is on. We will be taking the necessary steps in the next few hours and will be announcing our position later on.

“This is not the end of it, it is the beginning of the fight to reclaim our democratic State. We also have to ensure that our institutions do not fall prey to pressure by individuals,” said Kasukuwere.

Kasukuwere says the Zimbabwean people want their country rebuilt, its economy restored and a better future.
