In the past 24 hours, Israeli military operations killed 59 people and injured 208 in Gaza, the statement said. According to Palestinian sources, Israeli forces opened fire near an aid distribution point in Rafah, a city in southern Gaza Strip, on Saturday, resulting in the deaths of 27 Palestinians and injuries to approximately 180 others.
According to Al Jazeera, the Israeli army indiscriminately shot at a large number of people at the aid distribution point, killing at least 30 people and injuring 130 others.
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said it was investigating the matter. Since May, the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF), supported by Israel and the United States, has opened only four aid distribution sites in the Gaza Strip.
On July 9, the organization announced that its aid distribution site in Khan Younis would temporarily suspend operations for maintenance and renovation. Currently, only one such distribution site remains operational in Gaza's Rafah, forcing large numbers of Palestinians to travel south to receive food supplies.
