Ramaphosa briefed local media at his hotel after the lunch engagement with the Trump administration.
He says the US government has agreed to continue trade talks with the SA government. Ramaphosa says Trump asked what help the country needs.
“We said what the main thing we need is more investment from the US.”
Ramaphosa says he told Trump that SA wants more and more US companies to invest locally, also with more access to that market.
Ramaphosa says those engagements were definitely positive.
Ramaphosa says that he also told Trump that he wants him in SA for the G20 conference to handover the chair, with Trump responding he will give it serious consideration.
