Russia and United States (US) officials met on Tuesday to discuss the processes of peace talks without inviting the country in question.

Speaking to the South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC) on the margins of the G20 Foreign Affairs meeting in Johannesburg, Director General of International Relations Zane Dangor says Pretoria will continue to participate in efforts aimed at finding lasting solutions.

“We will engage with the US around those issues. All we are saying is that we have done absolutely nothing wrong. We are not participants in any war, not participants in unlawful activities but  we have been trying to talk with Ukraine, and Palestine to use institutions of global governance to bring peace.”
