The report highlights that various departments failed to manage projects properly and did not always pay contractors in line with agreements, putting further strain on provincial finances.
Brian Setswambung, Spokesperson for the North West Provincial Government, stated that lifestyle audits have been conducted on senior officials.
"Government is also satisfied with the outcomes of these audits except one which has been subjected to investigations. The North West Provincial Government is committed to implementing the thirty-day payment to service providers who have rendered service and submitted all the required documents," Setswambung said.
Regarding matters of corruption, Setswambung confirmed that the government has an anti-corruption hotline, which allows residents to report all suspected cases of corruption so that they can be dealt with swiftly.
"I can further confirm that in the past financial year, there have been no reported cases of suspected corruption," he added.
