The police service is on a drive to recruit 5 500 police trainees and for the first time in the history of its existence, the organisation is using a digital technology recruitment platform.
The service says the move will help reduce paperwork, curb corruption and nepotism, and prevent lost applications. National Police Spokesperson, Amanda van Wyk says the applications closes on July 18.
“The nationwide recruitment targets young men and women aged 18 to 35 to join as police trainees for the 2025/2026 financial year.
Qualifying young men and women without criminal records and/or pending criminal cases are encouraged to apply by visiting the police service's website, and selecting the e-Recruitment portal from the drop down menu,” van Wyk said.
