Calls for SA Ministers to ensure safety of SANDF

Date: Feb 13, 2025

Some residents in SA Limpopo province have meanwhile called on the Ministers of Defence and International Relations, Angie Motshekga and Ronald Lamola to ensure the safety of SANDF soldiers deployed to various missions outside the country.

This as the country awaits the handing over of the mortal remains of 14 soldiers killed during a confrontation with M23 rebels in eastern DRC.

A community member at Ga-Mphahlele, Daniel Ntsoane, says he's relieved that the families will finally receive the remains of their loved ones.

In a war there is no instrument to measure the killing or not the killing but we believe they were there under instructions of United Nations, African Union and Southern African Development Community.

It's unfortunate for our province and it's unfortunate for our community, it's unfortunate for ordinary citizens that we have lost brothers and sisters in majority as Limpopo.
