State of SA's crime intelligence is extremely worrying: Minister

South Africa's Police Minister, Senzo Mchunu, says the state of the country's crime intelligence, is extremely worrying.

He was speaking during a meeting of Parliament's Police Committee, where the latest crime statistics were discussed. According to these numbers for the period, April to June this year, more than 6 000 people have been murdered. 

While Mchunu announced the statistics last week, members of Parliament had the opportunity today to discuss the figures. One concern raised by MPs is the state of crime intelligence in the country. 

Mchunu says he shares the concerns.
