This is regarding the legacy of colonialism.

Lamola was the keynote speaker at the conference.

He says the continent must be able to free itself from colonialism. Lamola says if one African country is not stable, all countries are affected.

“The continent must be able to extricate itself from the colonial vintage so that the natural resources of the African continent should be beneficial to the children to this continent and the future generations. SA will continue in harmony and engage with other regional bodies, particularly for regional economies which are the building blocks for Africa’s integration. The resurgence of violence in the Sahel region concerns us all. Let us lend a helping hand to the people of that region to find a lasting solution to their conflicts.”
