It is alleged that extortionists blocked the organisation's workers, who were transporting water tankers to flood affected residents at a community hall in Mthatha. 

Nyaniso Nelani has condemned this action.

"They were blocking the Gift of the Givers to issue out bottles of water. Indeed we condemn that as King Sabatha Dalindyebo Municipality, we condemn that as government, but the investigation is continuing to trace the perpetrators.

Definitely we will find them, we cannot afford for the people to be disturb in such a way and also disturb the gesture and the good will that is coming up with the Gift of the Givers."
