Mkutukana whose stage name was Zahara died in a Johannesburg hospital on Monday at the age of 36.
Her body will be transported to her home in the Eastern Cape province where her funeral will take place at the weekend.
The musician released five studio albums, with this 2011 debut album Loliwe reaching double platinum.
