Each faces one count of contravening the Immigration Act.
They were found naked and held captive inside a house in Sandringham, Johannesburg South Africa last Thursday.
Three Ethiopian nationals were arrested on suspicion of trafficking in persons, kidnapping, extortion and contravening the Immigration Act.
Due to the court schedule, the 28 Ethiopian nationals have been appearing in three separate courtrooms before different magistrates throughout this week.
Some appeared in court yesterday and their cases have been postponed to different dates whilst others are due before court this Friday.
Those who’ve since appeared before the court have been remanded in custody and will be back in court on the 27th of this month for trial as some of the accused chose to abandon their bail.
The postponements also allow for medical assessments to be done on some of the underage individuals involved in the case.
