According to Limpopo police Spokesperson Malesela Ledwaba the incident occurred on December 4, when Sithole was killed in his home.
A dedicated South African Police Services (SAPS) team followed up on investigative leads, which ultimately led to the arrest of the two suspects.
During the arrests, police confiscated two firearms that are believed to have been used in the robbery and murder.
Ledwaba confirmed that these firearms are crucial pieces of evidence in the ongoing investigation.
“A dedicated SAPS team followed up on leads, resulting in the arrest of two suspects for allegedly killing 32-year-old Samson Sithole, a Mozambican national, during a house robbery and murder incident. Two firearms, believed to have been used during the commission of the offence, were seized,” Ledwaba said.
The investigation is still ongoing as police continue to gather evidence and work toward securing further details regarding the suspects’ involvement.
