The two suspects were arrested following a complaint about their illegal dealings.
JMPD Spokesperson, Xolani Fihla, says the suspects also offered officers bribe money for their release. “The two males that offered the officers R4 850 ($256.06) bribe for their release, were immediately arrested and detained at the Johannesburg Central police station for possession and dealing with illicit alcohol and cigarettes.
“The alcohol and cigarettes with an estimated value of R80 000 ($4 224) and the bribe money was seized and booked in at the police station as evidence," said Fihla.
