He was found in a pool of blood after he was sprayed with bullets on the R23 in Kempton Park on the 30th of June.

Provincial Serious and Violence Crime detectives are also searching for a second suspect in the matter, after a warrant of arrest was issued for him by the court. 

The 40-year-old is expected to appear before the Kempton Park Magistrates' Court on Wednesday. 

Police Spokesperson, Colonel Dimakatso Nevhuhulwi, “The Provincial Serious and Violence Crime detectives have made a breakthrough on the murder case of the Chief Auditor of the Ekurhuleni municipality, who was shot dead earlier this month in Kempton Park. 

On July 20, 2025, the team arrested a 40-year-old man who is expected to appear before Kempton Park Magistrates' court in July, 23 2025
