The days of mourning have also been extended to 23 June.

Lungu passed away in a South African healthcare facility earlier this month.

Zambian foreign affairs and international cooperation department led the talks with Lungu’s family to iron out their differences. His remains will be transported from South Africa to Zambia.

On Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, members of the public will be allowed to pay their last respects at Mulungushi Conference Centre.

A state funeral will be held at the same venue next Sunday.
