In a media statement, Independent Electoral Commission Chief Executive Officer Sy Mamabolo has lauded the organisation for successfully implementing  "internal controls" and says they will strive to uphold this standard in coming years.

Mamabolo says besides focusing on delivering reputable elections, the organization has prioritized professional business practices. The audit report together with the Annual Report will now be presented to the National Assembly.
