SA Police probe culpable homicide to establish how three police officers died

Date: May 2, 2025

South Africa (SA) Police have opened a case of culpable homicide to establish how three Free State province police officers died.

The Constables Cebekhulu Linda, Keamogetswe Buys  and Boipelo Senoge were travelling from Bloemfontein to Limpopo province on deployment.

Police addressed the media at the Hennops River where the bodies of the three were found this week as well as their vehicle.

National police Spokesperson, Athlenda Mathe says they will commence with a forensic investigation of the vehicle, "Suspicion is that these constables may have plunged into the river as a result of a vehicle accident, but we are investigating this.

“Our vehicle accident unit is in possession of the vehicle that was retrieved yesterday. They will start working on this particular this morning and hopefully they will be able to give us the answers that we've been looking as to what exactly happened."
