At a media briefing yesterday, Zuma singled out Shivambu who last week jumped ship from the Economic Freedom Fighters to join his party.

Zuma said what Shivambu has done is historic, “I’ll tell the citizens of this country that you sold out by creating other organisations helping the enemy to disperse us so that we don't have a concrete majority because that is what is done with all these little parties that we have been creating all of us  we must come to a point where we recognise the reality and I am telling you that this comrade will come to the books of history because he has done what many would not do because his politics is scientific"
