South Africa’s (SA) Electricity and Energy Minister, Kgosientsho Ramokgopa says municipalities in the country owe the nation’s electricity utility, Eskom more than $5 billion
Ramokgopa revealed this in a written reply to a Parliamentary question from Kevin Mileam, a Democratic Alliance Member of Parliament.
Mileham wanted to know which municipalities were defaulting in their Eskom payments and the total debt they owed.
