The party's Secretary General, Fikile Mbalula, said in a statement that the leak violated the Protection of Personal Information Act and compromised the privacy of its candidates.

The party submitted its National-to-National and Gauteng Regional Lists to the IEC before the deadline on Monday.

The IEC is expected to publish the provisional lists of candidates for public scrutiny on 26 and 27 March.
